Terry Miller

Again, do not be fooled, the following drawings look a heck-of-a-lot like photographs but they are indeed drawings. Terry Miller's works are fantastic and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Canyon Grace
According to his website, Miller "works exclusively in various grades of graphite portraying textural contrasts of wood, stone, water, animal hide and other natural elements, to bring depth, dimension and emotion to his works." Well his hard work has definitely paid off!
That is interesting that he specifically has focused on the textures of those elements. You can see how he has incorporated those into his drawings and even possibly based his drawings around those elements, without lessening the quality of the composition or the drawings, themselves.

Little Woodsman
I do love the composition of each drawing. He positions the different elements in a way that adds such interest to the drawings!
Moving On
"Moving On" seems to be the only drawing (at least in this blog post) that does not trick me into thinking it is a photograph. It is very realistic, but it is obvious to me that it is a drawing. I do not know if it is because of the photo of the work used to post it on the website, or what. He still does a great job at capturing the movement of the waves and splashing water, as well as the smoothly-feathered bird flying over.
